We’re nearly there. On December 1st, 2025, the first Munro Access post goes live. And then, every other day, another. Slowly but surely, a patchwork of campervan-friendly Munro entries will begin to take shape layer by layer, mountain by mountain.

If I’m being honest, the countdown makes me nervous. What if I’ve missed something obvious? What if no one finds this useful? What if I’m just adding noise to a space that already has so many voices? These questions circle in the back of my mind late at night, as I shuffle notes and double-check details.

But then I remind myself: the Munros aren’t about certainty. They’re about stepping into the unknown, trusting your preparation, and carrying on even when the weather turns. They’re about embracing both the exhilaration and the apprehension, the joy and the slog. And in that way, this project feels truer to the spirit of the mountains than I first realised.

So here we are, just days out. Excited, anxious, hopeful. Ready to put something imperfect into the world and let it grow into something far more useful through your eyes and experiences. To bring this series to life, I’ve been leaning on some excellent resources that already exist. The core data and inspiration have been gathered from trusted sites including:

• Walk Highlands (for thorough route descriptions and community wisdom)

These platforms provide far more depth and detail than I could ever hope to replicate, and I’ll often point you back to them for fuller overviews. What I’m trying to do here is pull together the parts that matter most for campervan travellers, weaving in sustainability and mindful access alongside the route basics.

When the first post goes live, it won’t just be another mountain profile; it’ll be a blend of practical advice, respectful travel principles, and shared stories that grow richer with your feedback.
